Call for Associate Therapists and Practitioners to join us
Following a rise in demand for counsellors in Southampton, Hampshire and Dorset post-lockdowns, we’re recruiting Associate Therapists and Practitioners.
We have vacancies for 85 qualified therapists to join our growing team based in Southampton, Basingstoke and Winterbourne.
Wendy Lee, Head of Health and Wellbeing at our sister charity Social Care in Action, who we’re working with, says: “We’re seeing a much greater demand for our services post-pandemic and following the lockdowns. People have struggled and have understandably found it difficult coping with many of the issues it has raised.
“We’re now supporting people with their general wellness, making a positive difference to their daily lives. Our services cover a whole range of topics including issues connected with loneliness and isolation brought on by lockdowns and restrictions.
Return to ‘normal’
“We’re also now dealing with anxiety about the return to ‘normal’ and leaving the safety of home. Our counsellors are seeing cases of self-harm, trauma and bereavement related to illness, long Covid and pandemic deaths.
“This is in addition to alcohol and gambling issues, as people struggle with spending much more time potentially on their own, without positive distraction and support.”
Join our community
To help meet demand for our services, we’re looking for Associate Therapists and Practitioners to join our community.
If you’re a qualified therapist or practitioner and registered with a recognised professional body such as BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), UKRCP, CA & ANLP, contact us to find out more and please apply today, as people in Southampton, Basingstoke and Winterbourne urgently need you.
The roles we’re looking to fill are self-employed and come with a whole host of benefits.
These include the support of experienced practitioners, referrals between colleagues, complimentary clinical supervision and regular discounted CPD (Continuing Professional Development) sessions and training opportunities.
Working with us will provide people with great development opportunities, plus we provide a calm, supportive and therapeutic environment to work in.
We offer free Wi-Fi use, full access to rooms, remote access to our calendar and more.
