What is Life Coaching?

Life coaching can help you to bridge the gap between your current circumstances and the life that you would like to lead. It’s all about making changes.

A life coach is someone who will help you to clarify your goals, identify any obstacles that are holding you back, and then work with you to come up with strategies to help you to overcome each obstacle. They can help you to navigate a significant life change, improve your relationships, careers, and day-to-day lives. Each session will make you feel empowered and uplifted. Many people work with a Life Coach to help them identify their passion and to carve out their career path. Working with a Life Coach will give you accountability, plan and set goals and develop better habits.

So, what is the next step?

When you feel ready, you can contact one of the team at Options and book in an initial assessment with one of our Life Coaches. This will give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have about Life Coaching and to find out how the coach can support you, and to see if you feel that you can work together.

If you decide that you would like to go ahead with the coaching, then your Life Coach will book you in for a Discovery session which normally lasts about an hour, and can be done face-to-face or remotely on the phone or online. During this time your coach will ask you some questions, such as what it is that you want to achieve in life, what areas you are unhappy with and where you would like to see yourself in the future. All sessions are confidential, and they allow you to explore your thoughts and feelings privately in a safe space.

After the Discovery session, a number of sessions will be agreed between you and your coach and then you will begin with the work. You can decide how many sessions you would like and how regularly that you have them. You can also decide where you would like to do the coaching, whether it be face-to-face, online or by phone.

Coaching sessions normally last between 45 minutes and an hour. During your sessions, your coach will gently encourage you to explore how you can make positive changes in your life based on the goals that you have set. They will offer you support and feedback to help you stay on track with your goals, and may occasionally set you tasks, exercises and objectives to help you move towards your goals outside of your sessions.

How much does this cost?

At Options, our aim is to provide everybody with affordable and accessible support whether that be with counselling, wellbeing or coaching support. Life Coaching can be very expensive, and so we want to provide this service at a more affordable price. The fee for the Discovery Session is £30 and the fee for a 1 hour coaching session is £45.

We also provide a 6 sessions for 5 bundle which will cost you £225 instead of £270.
